Cade Cavalli left after six innings with a 4-3 lead, having thrown 69 of 97 pitches for strikes with seven strikeouts. Mitchell Parker faced four batters in the seventh and retired none — two hits, two walks, three earned runs. Gus Varland covered the next two innings and gave up six hits and five earned, taking the loss. Derek Hill's 441-foot home run at 109.8 mph off the bat was the loudest stroke of the night, and Cavalli's two earned runs in six innings earned him no decision.
