Gabriel Rincones Jr. hit his second home run of the season and his first double, both on pitches he was ready for — the homer on an 89.4 mph cutter at 1-0, the double on a sharp line to right. Jesús Luzardo made the lead stand: six innings, nine strikeouts, zero walks, 95 pitches, one run. Michael Wacha matched him inning for inning — six innings, seven strikeouts — but the fourth inning cost him, J.T. Realmuto's two-run homer on a 1-0 sinker doing the heaviest lifting. Bohm's 11th home run came in the sixth on a 92.0 mph sinker at 1-0, and Rincones doubled in the eighth to bring him home again.
