Dustin May struck out seven over four and two-thirds and did not walk a hitter, and the Cardinals had nothing through five. Then Ryan Fernandez entered in the seventh and gave up three runs without getting an out. David Hamilton doubled on a 94.8 mph fastball to drive in two and tie the game. Brice Turang singled to left to give Milwaukee the lead. Shane Drohan got the win having allowed three runs, only one earned, over six innings. Trevor Megill closed it with two strikeouts in the ninth. The Cardinals made two errors, and one of them helped build the inning that put them behind for good.
