The lead changed three times and the last one came in the tenth. Seattle put up three in the eighth — Cal Raleigh's RBI double, Josh Naylor's RBI single, and a run that crossed on an interference error — to take their first lead. Heriberto Hernández answered with a home run at 110.4 mph, 422 feet, but Miami still trailed by one. Cade Gibson threw 12 pitches, nine for strikes, in the tenth and got the win. Michael Rucker faced one batter, didn't retire him, and took the loss. Esteuru Ruiz won two challenges in the tenth inning alone. Seattle left eight on base. Miami left nine and won anyway.
