Matt Olson's 25th home run of the year, 404 feet off an 88.9 mph cutter, started the scoring in the first. Jim Jarvis's first of the year — a two-run shot off a 93.6 mph sinker in the fourth — was the one that got remembered. Mitch Keller threw 72 pitches in three innings and gave up three runs, and Dennis Santana gave up four in the ninth. The Pirates collected eight hits and trailed from the first inning forward.
