Anthony Seigler had one home run on the season when he came to the plate in the seventh with Tsung-Che Cheng on first. He turned on an 88.4 mph cutter at 3-2 and sent it over the left-field wall, and a 2-1 game became 4-1. Sonny Gray gave Boston six innings of one-run ball on 91 pitches. Cionel Perez came in for the ninth and walked three of the five hitters he faced, and two more runs crossed before Xzavion Curry could end it. Wilyer Abreu's two-run homer was the last blow.
