Gausman threw 103 pitches for six innings, struck out eight, and left with the score level. Rogers needed 12 pitches — 11 strikes — for a clean seventh. Toronto went ahead in the eighth on Clase's line single to center, and then Hoffman gave up three hits and two runs, the last scoring on France's sacrifice fly to the same center fielder, Daulton Varsho.
