Robbie Ray struck out six in four innings and left trailing, because two errors behind him meant only one of San Francisco's three runs was earned. Logan Gilbert was the other half: six innings, ten strikeouts, one walk. Cole Young's two-run homer in the seventh, his 13th, turned a one-run game into a comfortable finish.
