Eduardo Rivera needed 41 pitches to get through two-thirds of an inning, and by the time he left, Baltimore led 3-0. Dylan Beavers's two-run single was the blow, and Johnathan Rodríguez followed with an RBI double to left — the first of his season. Kyle Bradish made it stand: six innings, four hits, one run, one walk, four strikeouts on 89 pitches. Brayan Bello relieved Rivera and threw 5.1 scoreless innings, which was the right thing to do about three runs too late.
