Tatsuya Imai walked four hitters and got two outs — 33 pitches, 12 strikes — and the Angels were ahead 2-0 before the Astros batted in the second. Javier came in and gave up nothing: three hits, no walks, seven strikeouts, five innings, 70 pitches. The Astros trailed 4-2 in the eighth when Yordan Alvarez singled in a run, and the ninth was a fielder's choice, a hit by pitch, and a throwing error by Vaughn Grissom that turned a close play into a mess. The Angels left ten on, and Josh Hader walked two in the ninth and still got the save.
