The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.

Jac Caglianone hit a ground ball at 115.3 mph — the hardest contact of the night — and it became an out. That was the kind of evening it was for Kansas City: two errors, six hits, one run, and a lineup that kept hitting the ball hard into gloves. Tomoyuki Sugano went 6.2 innings and gave up one run, and Michael Wacha matched him except for the two unearned runs that came from the defense behind him. Carter Jensen's home run in the sixth was the only damage Kansas City could do. Brenton Doyle's RBI double in the fourth held up as the winner.
