Ceddanne Rafaela homered off Yoshinobu Yamamoto twice — on an 0-0 splitter in the first and a 1-2 splitter in the third — and both balls landed in left center. Yamamoto threw eight innings, gave up four hits, and struck out three. Payton Tolle gave Boston six innings of two-run ball on nine hits, and Justin Slaten and Aroldis Chapman each threw a clean inning to close it. Teoscar Hernández's two-run homer in the second had given Los Angeles a lead that lasted exactly one inning. The Dodgers collected ten hits, scored twice, and left seven on base.
