Henry Bolte's three-run homer in the second was reviewed at the wall and overturned to fair, and for four innings it held. He put the 79.5 mph curveball in the seats at 3-2, and the review confirmed what the ball did leaving the bat. MacKenzie Gore gave up eight hits in 5.2 innings but kept the Athletics to three, and Texas needed every escape. Corey Seager's RBI single in the sixth tied it on a 3-0 sinker, and Wyatt Langford followed by ambushing a first-pitch cutter for a two-run homer — his 14th. Jacob Latz covered the final two innings without allowing a hit. J.T. Ginn struck out seven in six innings for the Athletics and took the loss anyway.
