Shane McClanahan needed 74 pitches for five shutout innings, and the lead he handed the bullpen lasted until Kevin Kelly gave up Samuel Basallo's two-run shot in the eighth. Basallo's 17th home run tied a game Baltimore had trailed since the second, and the night became one McClanahan deserved better from. Dylan Beavers ended it in the tenth, doubling on an 86.2 mph changeup to score Leody Taveras.
