Hayden Wesneski threw seven innings of one-hit, five-strikeout ball on 90 pitches, and the game was still scoreless when he handed it over. Davis Martin matched him for 5.2 innings — one walk, three strikeouts, no runs — before the bullpens decided it. The eighth was where it broke: Sean Newcomb gave up a single to Jose Altuve and a walk to Isaac Paredes, and Nelson Velázquez lined a 1-1 slurve into center to score both. Josh Hader needed fourteen pitches for the save, and the White Sox had three hits and six left on base.
