Bryce Eldridge drove in the go-ahead run in the fifth on a sacrifice fly, then came back in the tenth and lined a double to left to put San Francisco ahead for good. Oneil Cruz's sharp single in the eighth had tied it off Ryan Walker, and both clubs traded runs in the tenth before Eldridge and Turner Hill's sacrifice fly settled it. Rafael Devers's 32nd home run of the year, a 0-1 slider sent to center in the first, was the only run for five innings. Pittsburgh left ten on base and lost by one.
