Adley Rutschman homered twice — his 10th and 11th — and still finished on the losing side. Nick Sogard's two-run shot in the eighth, his fourth, put Boston ahead for good, and Roman Anthony's third career homer in the ninth gave them their sixth run. They needed every one: Chapman gave up two in the bottom of the ninth before the final out ended it 6-5. Six home runs left the yard, and the club that hit three of them lost.
