Jacob deGrom left after six with a three-run lead — one hit, twelve strikeouts, 92 pitches — and it was gone before the inning ended. Jakob Junis came in and gave up three hits without recording an out. Canzone singled in one run, and then Julio Rodríguez turned a 0-0 sinker around at 112.4 mph, 410 feet — three more, and 3-1 had become 4-3. Gilbert matched him for seven, struck out eleven, and turned it to a bullpen that held. deGrom allowed one hit all night. The loss went next to Junis's name: four runs, no outs, ten pitches.
