Grant McCray's second double of the year left the bat at 111.6 mph, and it produced the Giants' only run. St. Louis scored both of theirs in the fifth on singles from Alec Burleson and Leo Bernal, both hit to right fielder Scott Bandura. Quinn Mathews went 6.2 innings with eight strikeouts and two walks.
