Lynch walked 1 and struck out 3, and when he handed the ball over the Royals led 2-0 on John Rave's sixth homer. The eighth broke it open: Jensen's double, a throwing error by Barrosa, and Massey's blast made it 5-0. Houston scored single runs in the eighth and ninth and got no closer.
