Ethan Pecko held Kansas City to three hits across five and two-thirds, and Yordan Alvarez hit his 40th home run on a 90 mph fastball to break a 2-2 tie in the fifth. Jeremy Peña had already gone yard in the first — his 20th — before singling home a run in the sixth. The hardest ball anyone hit all night was Salvador Perez's lineout at 108.6 mph, and it was an out. Seth Lugo gave up eight in five innings and took the loss.
