Seymour threw 58 pitches, struck out three, and allowed one hit across five scoreless innings. The Yankees had two hits through five. Jake Woodford gave back three in the sixth, Steven Matz surrendered the tying runs in the seventh, and in the eighth George Lombard Jr. hit a two-run homer that left his bat at 110.2 mph and traveled 400 feet. He had already doubled at 110.1 in the seventh, and Tampa Bay left 12 on base in a two-run loss.
