The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.

Both teams scored in the 1st and both scored in the 3rd. CJ Abrams's two-run single put Washington ahead in the 1st, and Keibert Ruiz's RBI single in the 3rd made it 6-3. Bo Bichette's 18th homer, a 427-foot shot at 108.2 off the bat, pulled the Mets within one in the 5th. That was as close as they got. Gus Varland got the win with 1.1 clean innings, and Josiah Gray walked the leadoff man in the 9th and still nailed down the save. Andrew Alvarez threw 101 pitches in 4.2 innings for Washington and struck out seven.
