Bryce Harper's fifth-inning double left the bat at 112.5 mph and cut San Francisco's lead to one. Two innings later, his single with two on put Philadelphia ahead for good. Alec Bohm followed with an RBI double and Brandon Marsh added a sac fly — four runs in the seventh. Andrew Painter had put the Phillies in a hole: nine hits, four earned runs, one strikeout in four innings, 90 pitches. Matt Chapman's third-inning triple — 113 mph off the bat — had been the early blow. Adrian Houser pitched six innings for San Francisco and left leading 4-2. Ryan Borucki faced four hitters in the seventh, gave up two hits and a walk, and took the loss. Jhoan Duran threw 16 pitches in the ninth.
