Eury Pérez gave up three hits in six innings and struck out seven, and the one run he allowed was unearned — which is the kind of line that makes a 97-pitch Jacob Misiorowski start with nine strikeouts feel like a waste. Misiorowski took the loss despite giving up one earned run, because DL Hall came in for a third of an inning, gave up two hits and two runs, and turned a 1-1 game into a 3-1 deficit. Javier Sanoja's two-run single in the sixth was the blow, and Gary Sánchez tried to answer with a two-run single of his own in the eighth. Pete Fairbanks struck out the side on 13 pitches to end it.
