Shota Imanaga gave up three hits in seven innings and left with a lead he never lost. Seiya Suzuki's first home run of the season went 441 feet at 109.8 mph off the bat, a two-run shot in the seventh. The Phillies used five relievers after Jesús Luzardo threw 100 pitches in four and two-thirds, and Tim Mayza gave up three earned in the seventh. Kyle Schwarber hit his eighth in the sixth, and Bryce Harper added a two-run shot in the eighth. Caleb Thielbar got the last two outs on six pitches. The Cubs left seventeen on base and still won by three.
