For eight innings, neither offense could do more than tie the game. Steven Matz worked six and allowed one run — Casey Schmitt's first-inning single on an 0-2 sinker — and the bullpens traded zeros for five frames after that. Ryan Vilade tied it in the eighth with a sacrifice bunt that scored Junior Caminero. Chandler Simpson was placed on second to start the tenth, moved to third, and scored when Jonathan Aranda flew a 96.8 mph fastball into right field. Jerar Encarnacion hit the hardest ball of the night — 112.3 mph off the bat — and it traveled 328 feet before landing in a glove. The Giants had six hits. They needed seven.

The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed.
