Andrés Muñoz got the loss when Olson drove an 86.2 mph slider 412 feet to center at 110.5 mph off the bat — his thirteenth of the year, leading off the ninth. Bryce Elder had matched Kirby with six innings of two-run ball, striking out nine, and Robert Suarez and Raisel Iglesias covered the last two without allowing a run. J.P. Crawford's two-run homer in the third was all Seattle managed: three hits, four left on base. Mauricio Dubón's fourth-inning double had given Atlanta its first runs, scoring Albies and Olson.
