Twelve innings, thirty-four hits, and the Brewers won by one. Kyle Harrison gave up eight earned runs in 2.1 innings and Jeffrey Springs gave up five earned in five, and neither starter figured in the decision. Both teams scored four in the tenth. Tyler Soderstrom's three-run homer was part of a six-run third for the Athletics. Brice Turang answered with a two-run shot in the same inning. Scott Barlow came in for the tenth and surrendered four runs on three hits. José Suárez took the loss across two innings without allowing an earned run. Alika Williams doubled for the first time this season. Andrew Vaughn hit his second homer. Chad Patrick needed eight pitches — seven strikes — to finish the twelfth.
