Seattle's offense was two hits and one run — Josh Naylor's RBI single in the first scored the only Mariner to cross the plate before the game was decided. Early walked two, struck out seven, and left after six innings with a lead Wilyer Abreu had given him with a two-run homer on an 84.7 mph cutter. The hardest ball Seattle hit all night was Dominic Canzone's lineout at 110.4 mph, which found a glove and changed nothing. Three Boston relievers faced nine hitters and didn't allow a hit.
