Jac Caglianone hit two home runs — 416 feet in the first, 443 in the fifth — and the second left the bat at 109.1 mph. He drove in three. Shane McClanahan took the loss despite six innings and four strikeouts, because four of the six runs against him were unearned, and the Royals kept coming. Nick Loftin homered in the first and singled in a run in the fifth. Kansas City left three men on base all night.
