Five lead changes in four innings, and the Royals and White Sox traded runs in the first and second like neither side wanted to keep them. Carter Jensen had the first RBI and the one that held — a single in the first, a double in the fourth that scored Bobby Witt Jr. and gave Kansas City the lead for good. Miguel Vargas's two-run homer and Kyle Teel's two-run single were Chicago's answers. Five Royals relievers threw five scoreless innings after that, and the White Sox didn't score again.
