Payton Tolle gave the White Sox two hits in six innings and struck out six. Noah Schultz matched him for five, and then the second inning happened. Andruw Monasterio and Ceddanne Rafaela went back-to-back — Rafaela's a two-run shot on an 0-0 sweeper — and that was enough. Connor Wong laid down a sacrifice bunt in the fourth that scored a run, and Andruw Monasterio got caught in a rundown that went catcher to second to third to second to third to shortstop before they finally tagged him. Romy Gonzalez doubled for the first time this season in the ninth. Brandon Eisert gave up four earned in 1.2 innings. The Red Sox won by seven with nine left on base.
