Baltimore committed four errors, and two of them directly extended Boston rallies. Wilyer Abreu's double in the third scored a run and he took third on Gunnar Henderson's throwing error; Willson Contreras singled him in two pitches later. Christian Encarnacion-Strand's first home run of the season gave Baltimore a brief lead in the fifth, but the lead changed five times before Tyler Wells took the loss in the eighth. Shane Baz gave up four runs in six innings, but only two were earned. Aroldis Chapman struck out two in the ninth.
