Kevin Gausman needed 90 pitches to record ten outs, and by the time he left, the Rays had nine hits and a five-run lead. Nick Fortes cleared the bases with a three-run homer in the fifth — his fourth of the year — and Yandy Díaz added a three-run shot in the ninth that turned a blowout into a rout. Drew Rasmussen gave up seven hits in five innings but kept Toronto to two runs, and the bullpen threw four hitless frames behind him.
