Taj Bradley and Gavin Williams each went seven innings and each gave up two hits. Williams struck out eleven, allowed no runs, walked no one, and still did not factor in the decision, because Bradley matched him with one run across three walks and five strikeouts. Patrick Bailey's fifth-inning home run, 109.2 mph off the bat, was the only damage either starter absorbed. Twelve innings is a long time to wait for a mistake, and Cleveland's came when Erik Sabrowski gave up two singles and Steven Kwan's throwing error let a run cross. Williams threw 97 pitches, 73 for strikes, and walked away with nothing to show for it.
