Dylan Crews's fourth-inning homer — a 91.6 mph fastball — tied the game at 2-2, and neither team scored again until the seventh. Arizona had gone ahead in the second on Tim Tawa's bunt single and a Ketel Marte forceout. Gabriel Moreno drove a 76.6 mph sweeper to left field in the seventh, deep enough for Marte to tag and score. Eduardo Rodriguez gave up both Washington runs in six innings and left with the game even. Juan Morillo, Kevin Ginkel, and Paul Sewald each worked a perfect inning behind him. Arizona left ten on base and still won by one.
