The game was tied in the ninth when Jackson Holliday reached base and Dylan Beavers hit a ground ball to right field that scored him, and that is how a one-run game ends when the margins are this thin. Didier Fuentes took the loss — 1.2 innings, one run — and Yennier Cano threw nine pitches to earn the win. Ozzie Albies had tied it in the eighth with his 17th home run, a fly ball to right, and Gunnar Henderson had put Baltimore ahead in the fifth with his 18th. The Braves committed two errors and left six on base. Brandon Young threw 6.1 innings of one-run baseball for the Orioles and deserved more than a no-decision. He did not get one. He got a teammate who found a hole in the ninth.
