Manny Machado doubled in the first, singled in two more in the second, and added another RBI single in the sixth — four runs driven in before Arizona got on the board. Eduardo Rodríguez gave up eleven hits in under six innings, and the Padres hit through him like a lineup that had seen his stuff before. Vásquez allowed two hits across six innings and one of them left the yard without scoring. Arizona put up four in the seventh, three on Nolan Arenado's homer, and still trailed by five. Randy Vásquez has spent the year working out what kind of pitcher he is, and six innings of two-hit ball in a park that yields runs is a piece of that answer.

A ABS (Automated Ball‑Strike) challenge — filled = overturned
The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.
