Paul Goldschmidt hit a 95.6 mph sinker 430 feet to left-center in the third, and no runner crossed home plate in any of the other eight innings. Cam Schlittler walked five in five and two-thirds, struck out eight, and needed 102 pitches to get through it — the count never came easy, and neither did the zeroes. Boston left ten on base with five hits, and Patrick Sandoval gave up one run in five and a third and took the loss.
