Eleven hits in five and two-thirds — Sean Manaea gave up five earned, and Francisco Lindor's leadoff homer in the first was the only damage New York did against Freddy Peralta. Six innings, three hits, one earned, seventy-four pitches for the Tampa Bay starter, and three relievers covered the final three frames allowing one run on no hits. Yandy Diaz went deep in the sixth, his twenty-first, and Ryan Vilade drove in two from the bottom of the order. Francisco Lindor drove in both Mets runs — one on the homer, one on a seventh-inning walk.
