Griffin Jax held Atlanta to two hits across five innings and left with a lead Reynaldo López had already surrendered. López gave up six earned on 80 pitches in 4.2 innings — Jorge Mateo's two-run single in the 2nd started it, and Cedric Mullins and Richie Palacios added RBI knocks in the 4th. Atlanta managed three hits all night. Drake Baldwin's homer in the 4th was the only real answer, and the Rays scored three in that same frame before it was over.
