Marsee's 2-run homer in the third was the deciding blow, putting Miami up 4-1, and the Diamondbacks spent the rest of the night chasing a run they never got back. Pavin Smith's second homer of the year had put Arizona on the board in the second. Merrill Kelly struck out 9 in four and two-thirds but surrendered 4 runs, and Alcantara walked one to finish it.
