William Contreras tied the game with a sacrifice fly in the fourth and a two-run single in the sixth, both off Zack Wheeler, and for two innings it held. Bryson Stott's single in the eighth scored two — one on a throwing error by Garrett Mitchell — and Brandon Marsh doubled home another, three runs that put Philadelphia ahead to stay. Wheeler struck out 11 in five and two-thirds on 101 pitches and left with the game even. Luis Lara's single in the ninth made it 6-4, and the Phillies never batted again.
