Nolan Arenado's 30th of the year went to left field with a man on in the 3rd, and it was the biggest swing of an 11-run night. Lars Nootbaar had started it with his 8th in the 1st, and Geraldo Perdomo tripled and scored on a sac fly in the same inning. Pfaadt struck out seven over 7.2 innings and left with an 11-3 lead. Casey Mize took the loss — four innings, seven hits, seven earned. San Diego used four relievers after Mize and still gave up four more.
