Jose Altuve homered twice — a solo shot in the seventh and another in the eighth, his first and second of the year. Yordan Alvarez's two-run homer in the third, off an 84.9 mph cutter, was the damage that put Houston ahead. Lance McCullers Jr. went seven innings with four hits, one run, and nine strikeouts. Brice Matthews hit his first home run of the season in the fifth, 111.1 mph off the bat and 434 feet to center field. Ranger Suarez allowed four earned in 4.1 innings.
