Edmundo Sosa hit a two-run homer to left-center in the eighth inning, and that was the ballgame. Tanner Scott had come in for the Dodgers and given up a single to Bryce Harper before Sosa — three hits, three earned runs, 16 of 19 pitches for strikes. Roki Sasaki left after 5.1 innings with a lead, three hits, seven strikeouts, one earned run. Jhoan Duran needed eight pitches to close it. The Dodgers had nine hits and left eight on base.
