Kyle Schwarber's 33rd home run of the season came on a 2-0 cutter from Sean Manaea and carried Trea Turner with it, and the Phillies were ahead before the Mets had an out. Jesús Luzardo answered with five innings of two-hit, one-run baseball and seven strikeouts, and by the time Manaea left with two outs in the 5th, he had thrown 99 pitches and given up four earned. The Mets committed three errors and collected three hits, and Kodai Senga came in from the bullpen for 1.1 innings and walked three. Trea Turner and Tyrone Taylor also went deep for Philadelphia, and New York never made it a game.
