Mesa's liner to right-center left the bat at 108.8 mph, traveled 317 feet, and became an inside-the-park home run — Tampa Bay's only run of the night. Shane McClanahan walked three and gave up six runs, four earned, in five innings, and the Rays left eleven men on base. Sonny Gray gave Boston six innings of one-run ball, and Willson Contreras's two-run homer in the fifth — his 22nd — was the blow that put it away.
