A 91 mph fastball at 0-0, and Joshua Kuroda-Grauer put it in the seats for his first home run of the year. Ketel Marte's two-run homer in the sixth tied it briefly, but Jeff McNeil's two-run single in the seventh off Kevin Ginkel put the Athletics ahead for good. Luis Medina earned the win with two clean innings in relief of Jeffrey Springs, and Hogan Harris struck out three in the ninth for the save. The Athletics left 11 on base — 15 hits, five runs — and still won by three.
